Born in 1967 in Chongqing, he now living in Beijing. Chen studied landscape oil painting in Shanghai and Suzhou and graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1989. From 1999 he focused simple thoughts, which are the basis for his recent paintings.
